And that exhaust sounds really nice. Dont think it would be welcomed by the Mass staties tho
Looks nice and I really like the dual canister setup but am I reading it right or does it say that the y pipe is 2.5" but the rest is 3"? any downsides on making the y pipe .5" smaller? I hate staties, I had a factory looking exhaust on my integra and it wasnt much louder and id get pulled over for it all the time but no tickets. Just warnings and they kept telling me to get it fixed. Im hoping to get away with a AMS TBE on my IX but I dont drive it much so im hoping it wont be a big problem.

By the way, the body kit thing isn't happening. The body shop that installed his kit did a really nice job but used rivets everywhere...there was no way for me to swap with him cleanly...

*sad face* it's too bad because that kit looked so damn nice, especially with his lights...
That is the suxors David...I was looking forward to your car being all riced out! (in a classy way )

Why don't you guys just trade cars, seeing as you just did the 60k on yours

That catback looks like it'd complement your car nicely. I can't watch videos at work so I dunno how loud it is. As far as the catless or testpipe setup, iono how you feel about MA laws...

You have to make it smaller at the Y's to keep an even exhaust velocity. If it was 3" at the Y it would slow down the exhaust pulses right at the Y.

Ajay, from ur pm i know exactly what JB did. Silly washington state people and their no emissions. I am sure we can work something out to fix it.
Thank you Turco, much appreciated. I am jealous of those damn washingtonians (sp?) and their no emissions.

correct, like i said in another exhaust thread, regardless of what your GF tells you, the bigger the pipe isn't always better.

The guys at lou's custom in waltham was trying to tell me that I should go with a 3inch pipe on my car instead of a 2.25... Regardless I went with a pre-fabbed exhaust system and did it all myself. He wouldn't believe me that it was too big for my engine being N/A and all.

Well the diameter of a straight pipe is completely different then the diameter change at a Y. It is different on a turbo car vs. NA as well. Turbo cars can not be hurt by having "too big of an exhaust" (straight sections only), but there is a bunch of talk about not enough back pressure with NA cars.
