I am truly shocked by the results of the magnus. I know their new cast manifolds are getting a lot of great dyno results. I personally never thought the straight, equal length runner design made much sense. If you have ever really looked at the evo stock IM it is a very complex unit with a lot of interesting design in it.
I would ask around as for the reliability of a subbie vs. evo. Yes mitsu has its problems, but they did do one thing right and thats build the evo 
Like my Evo for instance, how much more could you ask for a better built car. Parts wise, tuning wise, and owner wise
