I would not sell my evo for an R33. R32 I would buy since they are only worth about $5k. R34 I would love to own.

Hmmm, how did he get the R33 street legal. You can find them pretty easily over in japan for $12-$15k including shipping under 60k miles, it's just a matter of getting it registered legally

I'm actually trying to not sell or trade the Evo. The worst case would be trading the Evo to him (plus $$) for his DD and I get the R34 for my new baby. But I'm trying to keep my Evo.

I'm hoping he decides to get rid of the R34 since he has a lot of stuff done to his R33, it's his baby....you know? I would just keep it stock honestly. For awhile at least.

The R32 and R33 were the easy ones to legalize. Motorex faked the legalization on the R34. That's why you can still import 2's and 3's easily, 4's are a lot harder. Though any R34 that was legalized before Motorex went down is still legal. Which is what his is. Both of his cars are 100% legal. Real titles, real vins. Both owned by him 100%.

As far as the shipment stuff goes, it pays to be in the military and stationed in Japan. You save a lot of money buying the car there then having it shipped home at no cost to you as your personally owned vehicle and the paid to have it legalized.

No offense to you Ajay...

But...

I call MAJOR BS on anyone who says they'll get an R34 into the states...or any Skyline for that matter.

Yes they exist, yes it can be possible. It costs a fortune and the path is strangled in red tape.

I've seen/heard it a hundred times, especially on teh intarwebs.

I will believe it when I see it...
