CRAZY night...
I'm sitting at my kitchen table and all I hear is a HUGE bang. I ran outside and looked to the left, there's a pickup truck with its bed that looks like a flying car ripped into it and then looked to my right and there's a Volvo buried into a tree across teh street. I looked back at the truck and the two people who got out jumped back in and tried to drive down the street (assumingly to flee) I yelled to the neighbors out on the street to grab the plate number of the truck. Turned around, grabbed my flashlight and hightailed it to the volvo... The guy inside was half out of the car, face against the glass which was now against the tree and barely breathing. The car literally had its front end wrapped around the tree, battery blew up on impact and there was radiator fluid everywhere.
Guy musta been doing like 60-70 down the street and just nailed the pickup truck crossing the street. From what I heard both the pickup drivers were unlicensed and the kid was in critical or something like that at a local boston hospital. Jaws of life had to pull him out of this one...

There were a bunch of kids running up the street towards the accident, apparently they saw the Volvo BLOW by them at about 60 (30 mph street). They basically forced the pickup truck to pull over (3 blocks away from the accident and around the corner). Apparently the driver of the pickup was unlicensed and an illegal immigrant (nothing uncommon for my area of town) so he booked it. I'm not sure if the cops locked them up or not but that volvo was definitely at fault. I have some video of the damage but I don't think its appropriate to post it. (My buddy got it on his camera)
The sad part is that the cops that stuck around were cracking jokes about both drivers and how the guy in the volvo was a goner etc. My neighbor's and I are going to petition for more speed enforcement and streetlights/speed bumps on my street because in the last 6 months there have been 4 major accidents on my street and my house has had the front fence replaced 3 times in the last 4 years alone.

Might I note that there was no "fuentes" on the scene, the guy who was beside me on the car was an irish guy screaming at the kid to keep from moving. I realized now that I burned my leg on the engine of the car climbing to make sure the driver was alive.
