Where to get HiD install

Well, this is a shot in the dark. I can't find out how possible it is to install factory HIDs on a non-HID equipped vehicle. Thus, I figured maybe I ask a shop to see if they could do it, and if so, how much? And I am not good with wiring. BTW...any you guys wanna do it and make a few bucks LOL

anyways, does anyone know any good shops near princeton, west windsor, that area...where they do installs suck as this.

thanks

you want to assembe a new Headlight assembly with HID? Or just a plug and play HID, they are relatively simple.

and to be honest, I do not feel comfortable splicing and all that jazz. I just rather find somewhere to do it, if it can be done relatively cheap.

You should have all the plugs possible if you bought the entire kit..

Same connector on the base of the headlight!!

I just swapped it for someone a month ago, it was all plug and play, not splicing!!

wait? these are plug and play. I thought putting OEM HID in a non HID would have different plugs and what not needed.

It's a piece of cake dude. If you ever replace a regular halogen bulb, you should be able to do it.

I dont know any kits that are not plug and plug these days. Did someone cut the harness because they were for a different type bulb. If so your better off just getting a brand new set that is plug and plug for less than 200 bucks. That would offset the cost of a shop trying to wire up one for you. My buddy just got a kit for 120 with all necessary hardware.

the harness was not cut. I guess the non equipped HID evos have a four prong harness while the HIDs from the evos have an eight prong harness.

I think the issue is going from a non OEM equipped HID evo to OEM hids. Way to much it looks like to install.

If it is just the HID's, there is no reason it shouldn't be just plug and play. I have aftermarket HID's in my '05 GSR and it was plug and play, and this was installed almost two years ago, both high and low beams. I think the only diff with the SSL and the GSR you have is the fog lights [somone correct me if I am wrong]. If you got those in the 'package' you bought, they are not plug and play. The straight HID's should be though. You should check all plugs and harnesses before freaking out.
Good luck.

ok but these are not aftermarket hids. These are from the SSL...the whole housing, ballast, and bulbs...unless there is something I am missing here. I will have to take another look tonight.

Were your HIDS from another evo?

If you've got the whole setup, housing, ballast, bulbs etc. then you might have a job on your hands. Since the SSL came with things headlight leveller [sp] foglight and such, you might need to have a shop do the job for you. GL

My HID's were aftermarket.
