I tried to get it locally with no luck. I ended up ordering it from the Lancer Shop.

Thanks for the heads up. Did any one find the secret stash of this stuff in Mass or NH?

I will tell you this stuff works great! I used to grid shifting from 2nd to 3rd when shifting above 5,000rpm. Not a single grind since switching to BG Synchro Shift II transmission fluid. This stuff works

I looked a little while ago and the closest place that stocked it was in upstate NY.

I wonder if i can use this stuff in my lancer. I grind a bit 1st to 2nd sometimes, and need a tranny flush too so this might be my next bet.

I highly recommend not using the BG fluids. I ran it for just 10k and the fluids broke down and expanded (to the point that the fluid was pumping out of my fill hole when I changed it).

I have been running Amsoil trans fluid (correct weight for our cars also) for 5-6k. Way better than the BG stuff.

Just my .02...but I would never run that BG ever again.

Check out the thread on if you like your transmission - or something like that.

Ok, so where to find the Amsoil stuff?

I think I am going to try the Motul Gear 300 fluid. HMS Motorsports in Peabody, Ma carries it.

That's because you need BG Synchro Shift II, its fully synthetic, the BG Synchro shift I is non synthetic. The non synthetic will brake down if not change every 5,000 miles.

Nothing wrong with Amsoil infact I run it in my Jeep and Grand National.

Evo Matt - you can order directly online from Amsoil. Or using their website find a local vendor that carries their products.

There is another issue with BG - whats the weight? They never say.
