Looking for good references for shops in CT that can handle a cam swap at a reasonable rate. Thanks for any help guys!

how about ICS...they qouted me $400 for a cam swap and head studs. Sound a little high?

a lil bit...i think i paid 300 for cams from pruven...headstuds shouldn't really be that expensive labor-wise since they're already doing cams.

the shop for sure. Jimmy is a great guy and stands behind their work 110%
They did all of my work on the STI.

Lets just say i live 4 hours away and took about 7+ trips there for more and more mods and work.

 

Hey what's up guys, long time lurker, new member! I am in Fairfield, and I've been to all the CT big name shops (The Shop, ICS, Pruven, XX, EPL), and as far as I'm concerned, the best of the best is JK Motorsports at Grasmere Sunoco in Fairfield just off exit 23 on 95 northbound.

Sounds like a infomercial script, but Jerry is the man and he just put up three new bays with a Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno. I didn't even know they did tuning over there, but after shooting the breeze with him for a while, he showed me an engine dyno graph of an 895hp naturally aspirated Chevy I6 that he built. Anyone with that kind of skill and knowledge gets my business.

Not to mention they sell VP race gas at the pump.

Yup, if you go there, the pump island closest to the front office has VP "on tap." And few people I have met know more about automotive performance than Jerry.

 

ICS, they are pricy but they do the best work around

 

I can do the work as well. I am in PA (45 minutes north of Philly) but, my prices are lower than those quoted above. If you need any references just search my user name.

I am not trying to hijack anything just thought I'd throw my name out there in case you were interested.

The shops evo specialist left a little while ago. ICS is where my car is and i am very happy with their work.
