did you know that CT, MA, VT and RI are the only states with no 1/4 tracks anymore

 

pathetic... i hope this gets done within a couple years. It would definately keep me and alot of buddies from any racing on a street.. youd see me down there every friday and saturday night all summer

 

mee 2 a couple years is sooooooo long though...i vote for April of THIS year

 

lol i wish, a project like this is probably 9 months to a year and i havent heard anything publicly so a build start date is way out of the way

 

why not make a Real track? would be soooo much better then just a drag strip? but i guess thats better then nothing.

it was originally proposed back in late 02 or early 03 and approved by plainville.. I guess it must need state approval of some sort... Not like Mohegan has money issues

 

Anybody have links to solid evidence on this? I'll start a petition that we could circulate on all the local boards so that the build-date would be moved up.

 

search on google, there was a petition back in 04 of over 5k ppl in ct.... Search google and youll findsome stuff on the mohegan sun drag strip

 

okay well i heard mohgen is still fighting it , but right now there is a road course track going in putnam mass , but won't be open till like 2009 i think. Since i joined " CART " i learned more about it , but even the high ups in there only know as much as I know so we will see what happens. okay time watch the super bowl. join cart and join me and lime rock in june. also auto cross all year long in CT only 35 to run ur car.

 

Are you talking about the track being installed in Palmer, MA or is one also being built in Putnam? The one in Palmer will be road racing not drag. I posted a while back a link to the article from the local paper when the approval process got the green light.
