I bought my evo from ama cars and after they got the signiture down and while iw as driving home with the evo the service light turns on and i call back they said its hte battery so i brogth it to a shop and then they told me its the cat converter then later on they said theyll fix all the problems adn all of sudden i was downshifitn and drivin aorund theres a clunkin soudn while it was downshiftin and a squeaking nose form the rear i thought it ws the suspensions and the transmisson problems so i borught it bak to them and i didnt hve the car for 2-3days yet and i had to brign it back because they said they would fix it and then later on 2-3weeks later i get my car back and it was driving ffine until i get on the high way and im like wtf i started hearing squeeling noises and this was a used car btw (2nd owner only 17xxx milage) and i was geting frustrated and i heeard it was a walbro fuels pump but i dont know. then all 3 of the acd controls lit up and i was even more mad and i got my car back yesterday!! so im going to bring it to a mitsubitshi deler and then get a list of problems after the xcheck up and bring it back to ama cars and they better fix it right and htye keep saying htey brought it to a mitsubitshi delaer but i doubt it! it smells lik my car was running rich because droveo nly 11 miles and it wasted about 2gallons of gas.. i relaly dont know what to do because i was on the phone argueing with the people about my car. I really need help i hate this ama car dealer place. sometimes i regret geting this car because of problems...its an 05 evo 8 ssl ill have a pic up can someone please thell me who ownd this car i puleld up car fax it was org from NY then PA I need help i cant even think right now...heres a few pics please i hope the owner is on here so he can tell me what is wrong with it and what was done to it.

BTW it was AMA CARS ON HARBINSON AVE. DONT EVER GO THERE!!! THEY SUCK *** AND ITLL MAKE YOU HAVE A GOD DAMN HEADACHE FOR OVER A MONTH!

 

check the air filter, check the exhuaust... see if it has a dp or something (thats if its stock cat back). I dont see any visual mods such as a boost controller so it probably wasnt tinkered with tooo much. Might have been a car a kid owned to beat up on until the banks caught up with him and had to get rid of it

I know when i bought mine used i was alllllllllllll over finding the previous owner and bringing people to the dealer to have it alll checked and I did everything in my power to make sure the car was never modded. Looked and made sure there were no wire ties, made sure some of the lines still had the blue and white factory pen marks on then, made sure the bolts EVERYWHERE had never been touched. I wanted a 2003 and thats it... mine was never ever touched.

 

got the VIN? I work for mitsu and can find out if it had any work under warranty done.

From what you are describing, it sounds like either you dont have a cat (cat delete pipe maybe?), bad o2 sensor, or a bad cat. With the ACD lights, that leads me to believe that the unit is either low on fluid and cannot actuate properly, or that there is a failure in it. Also from what your said about the fuel mileage it seems that you have some performance modifications on the car. What are they? (what can you visually see that is not factory?) And do you know if the car has the proper ECU tuning? The tuning in itself can cause the extreme amount of fuel usage.
With these issues, they all sound like something that would be covered under the factory warranty (except the fuel mileage) if you had a modification friendly Mitsubishi dealership in your area. I would highly recomend that you take it to them and see if any of it would be covered, as that would remove the majority of your "headache/issues"

 

anyways its not fixed and they keep saying theyll fix it and it never happened. went to a shop yesterday s&b auto to get it checked out and wow so much problems i cant even explain it. put it on a lift and saw many missing parts and parts that wasnt even suppose ot be there so tomorrow i need to trade it in for a new car since it wont be resolved. dumbass car on the way =/ prolly a lil family sedan...

 

you wouldnt just hear a fuel pump on the highway...you better hope that its not the death whine your hearing of you T-case... the car was prob some rich guys sone track car that is killed... sorry to hear but my luck with my car wasnt to much better

 

but at least ur car still works and run mine has the deathwine of the Tcase so im j.w if i trade it in for a new car would they test drive it? prolly nissan or toyota
