Is there any way I can get the stock map from you?

I am toying with the idea of flashing the car back to stock to see if I can have Mitsubishi fix whatever is causing my car to be boosting low on the stock boost controller...at least before I install the Perrin intake on the car. I figure once I pull the stock box out of the car I will probably be too lazy to put the old box back in so the dealership doesn't get some cause for voiding my warranty.

What part of town is your new place in?

Hey Bryan,

Sorry it took me a couple days to get back to you. I just saw your post. Yeah I have been pretty busy with this house thing and with work. Especially because out fiscal year ended not long ago and lots of ridiculous last minute tasks needed to be completed. Lets say its a good thing im getting paid ha!

Anyway I believe I have the stock map here. Ill try to find your e-mail again but feel free to sheet me a PM and I can send it off as an attachment.

When you say your car is boosting low what do you mean? Its peaking at something less then stock (21.5psi i think) or its tapering faster or spooling slow? It could be a lot of different things. Especially since during your tune they were attempting to do ECU controlled boost with the stock solenoid. Maybe they never returned all of the parameter's or periphery back to stock. Exactly why I wanted to pull the ROM off of your car while it was still a virgin. Of course this means that it would have been like this since your tune, so if something has changed recently it could be a multitude of other things. I honestly am not sure what Mitsubishi is going to do with your car if you bring it to them and say my car is boosting low. I have very little faith in most mitsu techs to even understand the basics of forced induction. They will more then likely drive your car around a bit...pop a load...clean it up...then return your car saying that it is boosting "normally." Just my experience with my factory warranty when it was still active. Where are you taking it to the new place in Springfield or Schaller?

The house is on a dead end road off of Rt5 a handful of streets south of the suffield bridge.

Ken the car is looking good!

Shen AMS is sex but if your really looking for overpriced ****/bling try ARC...

Screw ARC, only Saudi oil magnates can afford that stuff. Screw them right in their pompous, titanium faces.

Sorry, we were talking about the BBQ? I'll come. Ethan & Alex - you guys wanna meet up somewhere in the middle and do some spirited driving through the backroads on our way there?

I was in somewhat of a rush to get the car ready for AutoXing when The Shop was tuning it for me. They told me they worked on the car for hours trying to get the ECU to set the boost properly, but the car wouldn't go past 16-18 psig peak. There were no apparent problems with the spooling or tapering. I ended up authorizing them to put an MBC in there (set to 20 psig) for now until I have the time or patience to figure out what is going on with it. I haven't decided to approach Mitsubishi yet or what dealership. I have heard good things about Westboro, MA, but I agree that it is unlikely that the techs will be able to do anything for me but say "the ECU has been flashed, warranty voided" or something. I might try again in a year when the warranty is approaching end of life and see if they will do anything for me then, without concern for voiding my warranty. I am fairly confident that the car was not hitting ~21.5 psig peak since I have owned it because the dyno registered a significant improvement in power (that I notice too) and I doubt simply dropping in a high flow filter and flashing the ECU is good for 60 hp at the wheels over stock.

I may be free for some BBQ on 7/10, but it is hard for me to tell this far in advance.

Well, it's looking good so far. Looks like we're gonna be able to pull atleast 10 EVOs as of right now. I really hope some of you guys can make it. We haven't been able to get together in quite a while, so this is a MUST!

What style wing? or wingless? I may actually consider because what i plan may force me to repaint anyway.

Japan has a wing. His is a Ralliart.

Still plannin on doin the BBq on the 10th for those interested. Redwing probably won't be able to make it, atleast with his EVO. He is having some technical difficulties. I would get a place picked out soon. It's looking like it will be near Norwich though.
