Absolutely not. I'm not bringing my $37k car to a place that tuned my SRT HORRIBLY for the previous owner. I personally know Sean Ivey and have heard nothing but good things from him .. and I'm guessing he has experience with an EVO X since his name was on the board at Maywood to purchase one! Plus do they flash or just tune? Not that it matters I wouldn't go anyway.

they flash and tune. Matt that does the tuning is not the owner matt of swift he's been tuning for awhile , but kinda just started tuning at swift. He's not the matt that tuned the srt 4 you bought. This is a young guy matt he in the navy and does tuning for swift part time. When he tuned my evo i picked up like 35ft lbs of TQ and like almost 60whp. reason TQ was low is cause i ran out of fuel and started knocking so he pulled some timing which kept my knock down but also killed my TQ. I think I'm going down next Saturday for a retune tho. I just ordered my turbo xs front mount , aem cam gears , perrin fuel rail and ams 780cc injectors. so i should see a nice gain in my low end tq and pick up some more HP at the same time.

I can vouch for Matt as well (not owner matt). Tuned my evo also and got some nice gains.

Ya he's a cool dude and knows his stuff. once i got my new parts i'll go down for a retune and hopefully push that evo 8 turbo over 350whp and 350TQ. The next all i need is my fp green and say hello to over 400whp. I might swap out the brian crower to buddy club cams.

Danbury here. I'd say Ivey or Al for tuning around here. Mellon is another option.

Ivey yes and even mellon. But Al.. only if u want something stolen from ur car as far as parts go and a tune that will blow up your motor plus every other word out of his mouth is " bro" which will drive you nutz as well. I've heard so many bad things about Al i could write a book on it.

So I'm still having a hard time deciding between Swift or Ivey. Swift is promising me a nice deal, but still having a hard time over-looking their snafoos from the past...

Snafu's from the past were from well before my time. If you get tuned at Swift, I'm the ONLY one that touches your car.

As for the SRT 4, like I said, I didn't tune it. If it was tuned with a MAP clamp, then I am not surprised the tune was off when you got it. MAP clamp tunes HAVE to be monitored constantly, since they have a tendency to drift based on weather conditions and always need a tweak every now and then to the screw. If the previous owner didn't have a wideband to keep an eye on AFR, then that is on him. I personally won't tune SRT4's with a MAP clamp unless they have a wideband and know how to adjust the clamp as needed.

i'm telling you Matt at swift will do a good job he tuned my evo and my buddies frankie's evo. Both cars performance awesome and was a night a day difference after the tune and the gas mileage great improvement even with beating on the car Myself am seeing 24 to 27 mpg and my buddy frankie is seeing like 25 to 28mpg. Matt will give you a good deal and even better deal when its time for a retune.

over in Groton here. getting my car tuned at swift pretty soon by matt. previous tune was by Al last time he flew out to Hawaii and made 433whp @ 20psi. I guess we will see what Matt can do at 27ish psi.

Looking Forward to it!
