I am very interested in how these remote starters can work in an EVO 8 as they have the imobilizer which seems to require the key to be in the car. Can anyone comment on what trick they use to get around that ? Thanks

i think they put the key in some kind of hidden box to bypass the system...something along the lines of that nature

Yea the magical trick is that they take your only spare key and break it and insert the chip into the "brain" of the alarm. So keep that in mind guys when you get a remote start for your Evo... You're most likely going to have to fork up your only spare.
