Ah, good luck spending some major $$.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago on the original iPhone. Your best bet is just to buy the cheapest phone AT&T has unless you want to shell out $400+ for a new iPhone 3G at retail price.

Anyways, check ebay as they always have tons out there.

 

Sold my 16gb 3g on ebay for $326 recently. They aren't cheap.
