Ladies and gents,

*************** will be sponsoring our second annual car show & BBQ! We are trying to make this show as big as possible, as we expect people to be traveling a bit to make it to this event.

It will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 from 11AM until 6PM. Mark your calendars now! It is taking place at the Washington Crossing State Park in Titusville, NJ, which is about 1 hour from Philadelphia, PA, and about 1.5 hours from New York.

The cost of the meet will be paid for by the forums, so it will be FREE to all of our members. HOWEVER, the park charges a $5 entry fee PER CAR.

There will be plenty of food and beverages available all day long. Again, these will be free for our members. I do need to note that the park rules state that no alcohol is permitted, so please don't bring any.

We are still planning our list of activities, but expect a judged car show and a few other activities. We are also inviting our Approved Merchants to attend and set up booths if they wish to do so.

All makes and models of cars are welcome to attend, so long as the people who show up in them are Evo X enthusiasts. Don't feel left out if you don't have an Evo X or an '08+ Lancer, we'll be more than happy to have you. Feel free to bring any guests as well.

I do have to ask that everyone respects the park and refrains from doing burnouts, drifts, etc. Just remember that you are representing our forum. We seem to be a mature crowd, so I don't expect any of that to be an issue.

Since we will have a pavilion, this show will be RAIN OR SHINE!

Activities:

-Judged Car Show - If you are going to be showing your car, please check in by 1PM. Judging will begin at 2PM. We are going to be tougher on the judging this year, so I want to see people waxing and polishing until their arms fall off!
-The Cool Wall (Top Gear style) - Please print out and bring a few half-page sized pictures of modern cars and bring them to the meet!
-Games - Flag football, bean bag toss, etc
-Merchant booths - (bring some bucks!)
-Swap Meet - Bring any parts you have for or trade sale along with a proof of address (such as a valid driver's license)
-Food
-50/50 Raffle - Win big!
-Best sounding exhaust contest - It's more "tame" than having a burnout contest, yet lets people play around a bit. The "judge" will be based on applause.

I'll be ordering up some nice trophies very soon. Also, if you plan on showing, please note it next to your name!

Also - We need dedicated people this year to capture this event and do a little video and photo editing. Pictures of people, cars, separate pictures of the winning cars, videos of the events, etc all need to be captured!
