'10 X Ship from CA to NJ, Is it a Good idea?
'10 X Ship from CA to NJ, Is it a Good idea?
Now that the 2010s are starting to trickle into the U.S from the west coast, I want to start looking into getting myself another Evo very soon. Also have a BMW lease ending in December that's speeding up the process alittle. Anway...
With my '06 IX MR, I really didn't get much of a break on the price so this time i'm looking to cut myself some slack.
From what I've seen in the past, most of the Mitsu dealerships here in NJ will try to rape and mislead you with every chance they get. I know this because I visited 4 other dealerships before buying my PA '06. I was getting jerked around left and right.
And with the '10s about to arrive here on the east coast, I feel like it's going to be 2006 all over again.
Now i've always noticed that South Coast Mitsubishi has some really insane pricing on the 2010s posted on this forum('10 X SSS $32,699). I don't know how they do it, but they seem pretty reputable from what i've seen and I really doubt any of the dealerships here can even come close.
I've thought about having the shipped over here, but don't know much about the process so I'd like to see if anyone here has done it already.
I had a friend tell me that it probably won't run me more than $1,000 so I figured that it would still be a hell of a lot cheaper still than buying it here
. I'm still going to visit the local dealerships and try my luck, but I don't really have much confidence in them so I'm preparing for the worst.
To those who have done this or know about it, what are some things I should consider or think about? Would it be a smart move?
Thanks in advance!

My boy did this with his civic. Guys in the military do this allll the time. I'm soon going to be doing this. If the price is good. And the price you pay plus the shipping is still cheaper then what you THINK you'd pay by u. Then why not?? Saves money in the long run. They wont fck with the car or anything.
