how do i go about getting a PBA shield that you suction cup to your front windshield? i really want one, but dont know how to go about getting one. i dont know any lieutenants around new jersey, so is there another means of getting one? if anyone here in the new jersey area can help me out, IM or PM me. and also, if i have the sticker from supporting the police department, does that have the same effect as the PBA shield? [i.e. no tickets and whatnot?] get back to me please..

 

well to get the shield you need to be put on a list....and they only give out 200-300 shields a year so there is a small chance you'll get one (at least this is what i heard) if you don't have someone close to you thats a high ranking cop. the sticker might help lessen the offence....but it all depends on the officer. i had a state PBA card and it didn't do **** for me when i got my speeding ticket a year ago.

 

pba doesnt give a way shields you get two per pba member. Now u can buy a FOP shield.

You cannot leagally buy a shield.... Only imm. family members can get one...wife,child,brother,sister or parent. You can't get one unless you become a cop or someone in your family gets one. Every shield is marked for that specific cop. So if you steal one or get it illegal it can be traced...... I have a family member gold card that doesn't expire and has all of the cops info on it... so if the cop wants he takes it and contacts my family member.... it's happened already so i know....
best bet is get in good with some cops and hopfully they will pull some strings for you if you get in trouble

Oh u also get a yellow card that goes with the shield that matches the number on the back of the shield. No card you might get the shield taken.
