Damn always on days i'm never around. this time i'll be out of the country.

 

Getting ready to head out to STM and realized that I never posted an update.

The event went extremely well. I was the second to get there, preceded by another IX SE. For a few minutes we sat there, both cars GG, looking like fraternal twins. Then the rest of the Evos started arriving. I kid you not, on a quiet Sunday in a somewhat rural setting, you could hear the cars a half mile away. The roar was unmistakable.

The rest of the day was failry predictable. Folks socialized, some got tuned by EmatSTM. One car, a stock-ish IX SSL with an air filter an an CBE (that's it!) pulled 298whp on STM's Mustang after the tune. Woof! There were discounted dyno pulls, so people took advantage of that, too. STM rolled out their grill. It's probably safe to say that no one went home hungry. A big note of thanks to Austin, Gleason, and of course Emery for helping to make the day.

Maybe we can do the same next year.

 

Another one of these needs to happen this year !

EvoM folks, don't be shy and say hello. I'd love to put some faces to the names, and I'm sure vice versa. I'll be the old guy in a blue Evo T-shirt.

 

Got back last night from STM around 11pm. I was one of the last cars to dyno around 8pm. This was the first event I attended at STM, but from what I heard it was the biggest dyno-event yet at STM. I could be wrong, but I think Brian said they dyno'd 27 cars during the 8-hour session!

Is there a picture thread somewhere from the event?
