Evo-NY meet sunday nov.30th
The unthinkable happenned..this meet was worse than the Woodbridge one!!!
Last night was a late one, so I figured I would go a little later - left around 1 PM and didn't get there until 3:30!
Now, i live in the Newark area and its not that far, but the traffic and roads were god awful.
First there is off and on traffic through Staten Island. Then I'm looking for the road my Rand Mcnally map says will take me to Floyd Bennett Park and I can't find it. Leif Erickson Drive doesn't exist! After over an hour traversing the streets of Bay Ridge, I realize its the Belt Parkway. Thinking, I'm in the stretch run, I hit ridiculous traffic..the next hour is spent inching my way to Flatbush Avenue through pothole infested streets and one that is completely ripped up. Finally, I get to the park around 3:15 and there are a few EVOs and STIs, but nothing much is going on. Since I was in a unbelievably pissy mood, I just left.
So after nearly 4 hours of my time, over $17 bucks in tolls, a 1/3 of a tank in gas, seeing approximately 200 traffic lights and probobly ruining my alignment, I got to see the lovely Floyd Bennett Field!
Why do we schedule these meets so often in traffic congested areas that **** everyone off? My friends motorcycle club would go for runs/meets in upstate New York, Pennsylvania and do road trips to canada, but never in mall/city traffic infested areas.
Allright, time for a
to cool off.

Dude, I'll give you MS Streets and Trips on a CD. I always carry my laptop with it when I'm going into unknown
I came down from central Jersey and it wasn't bad at all. I was there b4 I thought I will.
Was nice meeting all you guys there, I didn't remember anyones name though
Hopefully next time..
Anyways, here's a couple of pics... unfortunately some ppl split for lunch so I didn't catch all the Evos in a lineup.

I don't think anyone but you had a problem with traffic.... that was why the meet started at 11am..... you should have just joined us this morning and you would have been there in less than an hour... well it took me 40 mins from the GWB doing 60mph..... and even coming home there was hardly any traffic except for the lights in midtown... but home to the gwb in about an hour.....
Dude you did decide to leave late, we were all there around 11 and it started packing up the field around 11:30, all the cars started to roll in one after another, going same thing no problems, I must agree with Grod101 except that dude I think we would of been home early if we didnt head in the west side and then gwb, but over all the meet was an success.
my boy was on the turnpike and he said it was all backed up... I would have made it home quicker but i had to wait cause yellow he didn't know that way.... i thougt traffic flowed pretty good for a sun in the city especially after Thanksgiving.......
