The reason Sasha is not taking his Evo is because Sasha still has the stock tires on. He is playing smart. Do not I repeat DO NOT drive down with your Evo if you are still with your stock Advans - you will crash! The tires get as hard as a rock below 30 degrees no matter if its DRY, Wet, Slush or snow outside! I don't want no one crashing their cars like 3 members of our club did already, which their cars are totaled. Take another car if you have to or if you don't have another car - then jump in and ride with a friend.

My $.02

In reply to YellowFever's RED post:

I think that if you drive cautious/careful/adult you'll be alright in the cold weather with these tires.. I've had the car out since I brought it ...very cold the last few nights.. Just drove like a sane individual and all was ok.. but the tires were hard as rock and definitely slippery as Joel commented.. sux that after shelling out so much dough for this car ...I'd have to go out and get new tires .. think I'll just stick to the SUV for the snow for now ..bah!

I speak from experience too though ..my last car was an audi S4 which came with stock summer crap tires (potenzas) ...audi got slapped with a class action because of them ..too many people crashed in the winter weather.

I feel bad that this happened.... I hope that we can make it up some other day (better weather) ... many people "said" they were gonna come but didn't show up...if I say something I'm going to do it, if I can't I'll let people know some how(i.e. posting it here, or phone calls) ... I think that also this meet needed a good 2 weeks in advance notice (minimum)...other than all this the Turbotrix shop was huge and everyone was cool...thanx for the Donuts and the Bagels and drinks (even though there was probably tons of it left over)

My regards,

Joel

Its no big deal. We're going to plan another EVO event in march or early april before our Evo / DSM shootout at englishtown. Maybe we can get a better evo turnout next time. By then we will have the EVO - FLASH up and running. This weather just sucks.
