I will never go to a Masano dealership again.
From the sales person, that dispite two days prior notice, had no paperwork ready before I purchased my EVO, and was 45 min. to get that ready once I was there.
To Dan in service, that called me to tell me that because my car had 36,001 miles on it "it is OUT of warranty." WTF REALLY? Since it was HIS TECH. that drove it the three miles to put it over 36K. Also there is the matter of the one inch long white scratch that is still on the drivers door about two inches above the door handle that they left me with after leaving my car to have a clutch installed. EVERY time I get in to my EVO I get to look at it. Again after the clutch was installed the plastic shield fell off from under the engine and exited the vehicle rear end while driving on RT 78. Drive 4 miles, to the next exit, turn around, drive 6 miles back to the next exit, turn around and drive 2 miles to pick up the shield. Oh I was angry. I was at masanos the next morning with what was left of the shield and Dan asked what number I could be contacted at when it was done. I told him I was going to wait for it. He said we don't have those parts in stock and it will not be done today. I guess I really pissed him off when I said that there were plenty of EVOs on the lot to get parts from and his tech. could see where the attaching tabs and bolts went because he obviously did not know because the shield was on the counter.
To John Chin, the "district manager" who needs to put on his big boy pants and be able to make a decision as to if something IS under warranty or not.
Bottom line for the shop work is, Dan had the warranty chip on his shoulder, he turned away work for the shop. The tech. did not get paid to do the job, the shop got no money for labor, the parts department missed out on a sale of over $500 for one part and the owner made no money.
The only exception is Mat in parts. He goes the extra mile AND gets the correct part the first time.
I will drive four hours round trip to have Ivey tune and repair my EVO before I would drive 25 min. to let masano change the oil.
