Let's do a hpde(high performance driving event) kind of meet. Here is the schedule of road courses and open track at Englishtown raceway, there's also NJMP but all their dates are on weekdays and I'm guessing most of you are working. July 5 or 26 at Etown is a good date, it's not that expensive and it's really fun, they have a huge parking lot and we can use it. You can bring tables and chairs, blankets, food, etc.
For the beginners, you can enroll at their road course and for those who have license can enroll for open track. We can all meet up early their about 1 hour and half drive from queens NY, road courses starts at 8am and open track at 11 am. It's really fun, I have been their a lot and it always put a smile on my face. Here's the link http://www.etownraceway.com/road_course.aspx
Let's pick a date and make this happen guys. This might be your best summer with your car for those of you who have not try it yet.

Not really necessary. When you do road courses like the one in Etown you will always start slow with no passing. As the day progresses and you get comfortable, you can always up your speed. By afternoon they will start to let you pass each other with signals and caution of course. Once you finish the road course, you will get your license and the next time you comeback you can enroll in their open track for $100 less. It's really a big bang for your buck there, you will get about 5-7 sessions 20 minutes each within the day.
It is intimidating for first timers but in no time you will be loving it.

Sign me up for any HPDE events, i'm so down. Also when I had my Z and went to their meets, we were always passing by some evo club in westbury, I believe it was called EVO-NY ? Every Wednesday I think. I don't know what happened to that group, but for long island evo owners westbury or RT 110...somewhere in the middle of the island we should all meet up and have a consistent day and time.
