The wreck happened just after our event ended. We just finished up Junior's single turbo Supra the night before the event and it was his first pass in the car since all the mods. The car made just under 800whp and must have been a handful to drive. It pass pulling hard by half track and he got a bit loose It went through the traps sideways at 92mph and hit the wall almost head on. The car is a mess but we'll straighten it out shortly. At least he walked away from it.
We'll be working our butts off this week to get our new EVO finished for the NHRA race this weekend. Countless late nights were spent at the shop trying to get it finished but we finally gave up at 2 am Saturday night. It would have been nice to make a pass this weekend but there are so many custom things we've incorporated into this car we needed it to be right before we took any chances with it.

Jeff,
Great event! Thanks for hosting and I'm sure this will become the premier DSM/EVO event in the east! I was there last year and many many more EVO's.
Very happy there were no injuries and your EVO shop car is awesome!

It's totally a street car and everybody hates cutting up a beautiful car to install a cage especially when it's only going to see the track once or twice a year. We've had several Supras putting out those power numbers or higher and few have cages. Most racers don't actually install the safety components until the track officials kick us out and make us do it. But, I'd expect to see a cage in that car if he plans on racing it again.

It was a cool event. The only thing I was disliked was the lack of teams from the mid-west, west coast and north east. It seemed like it was the north-east dsm shootout.
I may drive down to E-town just to see your orange car run. If that thing doesen't break, I expect records to be shattered.
