Smile anyone up for a run over the kangamagus highway?

I was thinking of taking a drive over the kangamagus highway sometime in the next few weeks. For those who don't know it's a very nice twisty mountain road through the White Mountain area of New Hampshire (route 112). Great scenery, great road .

Any one interested in meeting up and doing the run together? We could maybe grab some lunch in Conway, etc.

Up to you guys, just let me know. I was thinking sometime towards the end of May (busy for the next few weekends).

Jonny.

Sounds good to me, but let's name a date, because weekends are filling up fast now that the weather is getting warmer.

Cool

I think Anubis is up for it as well.

Anyway, what about Saturday 22 or Sunday 23 May? Either's good for me, but I know some people work on Saturdays.

I'm in. Depending on the day I may have to have a baby and fiance with me as well. My fiance likes going on car things too. If I have the baby too I'll make sure I pull up the back of the line not to hold anyone up.... I just want to get out and about with other car people. I'm tired of always being the odd one out (being the only jap car on the BMW rides, miata rides, ect....). I would like to see what other people have done to their cars as well. I've had a hell of a time trying to decide where and what kind of gauges to put in my car so I want to see what others have done.

Right then. Let's say Saturday 22 May . We can aim for that and if there's big issues we could maybe negotiate to the Sunday.

No problem for me if people bring their families/wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/etc along. Like you said, just want to have some car fun...

Nice. It will be nice if we can set a starting/meeting/grouping point.

I think the rest stop/liquor store before the 93 North toll would be a good meeting point, that way folks coming up and down 93 and 3 as well as the people coming over from 101 and 89 can all meet where they basically come together.

Sounds like a great place to meet for me. That is like 5 minutes from my house!! The 22nd of May is bad for me though. I'll be in Minnesota the 19th-22nd in May for work. Is this Saturday not good for people?

OK, sorry for rushed reply:

- Anubis also mentioned the idea of maybe inviting the NASIOC guys along. Sounds like a good idea to me Are any of you guys already registered on the NASIOC and Focaljet forums? (don't know Focaljet, which car(s) are they into?) If so if someone can post a link there that would be great. If not then I'll register and make a post. Before that we need to finalise the date...

- Great idea for a meet up place. Rest stop/liquor store works for me as I'm coming up on the I-93 anyway + it's pretty easy for everyone to spot. Good. We'll also have to pick one end of the kangamagus to start at, and we can maybe set another meet point there as well if needed.

- Can't do anytime either of the next 2 weekends. I had the idea to put it at the end of May to give people time to organise their agendas. Anubis: can you do the Sunday 23 May? If not how do people feel about the weekend after, say Saturday 29 May? Or the weekend before Saturday 15 May?

Cheers,

Jonny.

still on for the 22nd?

hello hello,

sorry about the delay, been away for a week or so.

not quite sure where we are up to now. Things got a bit confusing with the dates just before I went away

So, do you guys still want to do something on the 22nd or do you prefer to reschedule? I don't mind either way - I have nothing else planned the 22nd weekend anyway

Up to you guys...

Beside scheduling a good run in white mountain, anyone interested on a car meet / hang out. A group of car enthusiasts around Boston area has a plan for 22nd (car meet, bbq, car wash). I hoping some Evo owner around New England area can show up.

If interested, Pm'd me for detail.
