ok, so this is out of curiosity. IN phatlancers profile it says 600w amp with a 1000 watt sub??? why wouldn't you just get a amp that matches your subs output?


anyhow, when the evolutions(the real ones hopefully) role out, im sure things will be more orderly and than us Jersey folk can hang out, talk about books or whatever.

There's a lot more to amp/sub wattage than rms ratings. I used to run 2 250rms subs off a Lightning Audio S2.300 amp both subs in bridged mono putting the subs themselves down to 2ohms instead of their rated 4ohms which makes them draw significantly more power. I have a really poor understanding of it, but if you read up on it you'll see why it makes sense. I've never heard another '88 Grand Am thump like my old car.

EDIT: Living with parents blows, but I'm going back to school full time soon so it's going to be a wee bit before I geddafuggout.
