New Muffler

As some of you already know, I was rear ended a couple weeks ago. It turns out that my exhaust tip/muffler was damaged along with my rear bumper. The insurance company is going to pay for a new factory muffler which costs approximately 400 bucks. Of course, I would prefer to go aftermarket.

Any suggestions for a performance muffler for under 400 bucks?

For $400 you can get a nice catback exhaust. I have an Ultimate Racing catback and it sounds pretty nice. Any catback is going to give the same hp gains so just choose one you like. If you want to go cheap (only in price) you can get the WORKS axle back "exhale" exhaust for like $199.

I'd go with a Magnaflow....sound great and are a straight through muffler. Otherwise see if you can't go with an aftermarket cat-back....

Go see Andreas or Nick over at Pina Motorsports in Kent.

He did a real nice job on my 3" mandrel bent turbo back unit.

I live in Kennewick up behind the mall and work over in Pasco near the river, just off of Oregon street.

I have a WW Evo. Not much in the way of mods yet, just an AEM intake and a 3" turbo back. I also have some flat black 5Zigens with 235/40/17 V700 Ecsta's for autocrossing. A little later this spring I'll finish up the phase I mods with a fuel pump, boost gauge, boost controller and a reflash of the ECU. After that it is time to work on the suspension for a while.

We have an autocross out at Dust Devil stadium on the 12th and 13th. I'll be out there both days. The Sand and Sage Sports Car Club will be holding a club meeting at the Round Table Pizza parlor in Pasco on Wednesday the 9th at 6:00 pm, you are welcome to attend. Details can be found at http://www.ssscc.org. We will run rain or shine, the only thing that would keep us from running would be too few competitors or snow/ice.

Were you the black Evo that stopped and watched a few weeks ago? You should come and play with us next weekend. The EVO is quite capable on the stock Advan's.

Yeah, I was there watching you guys that day parked right outside the fence. Good driving by the way, it looked like you were running the evo pretty good.

I am definitely wanting to get some track experience, I have never driven in that type of atmosphere as far as track setup. I think I will stop by to see you guys at round table this wed. and get some more info. Thanks for the information mark.

Lance

P.s. Sorry for the hijack. I am still trying to get some pics of the buscher turboback i just installed for you guys if you would like to see it. getting the time to do it is a pain.
