damn hondas with exhaust

All of the civic hatchback owners I've met are seemingly intelligent and I'm sure are more knowledgable about cars than I. One time I was heading towards peoria to meet up with a friend and I passed a white EG hatch. As I passed we both made eye contact and it was understood that we were both car enthusiasts. My evo, still stock, I realized how poor my top end is and wanted to do a rolling acceleration test on the highway with this civic. I'm in fifth gear as I pass him going about 80, he is going about 70mph, I hear him downshift.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh
I hear him as he slowly pulls on me. We let off at about 120-130mph. I ask the fellow enthusiast what motor he put in his civic and he replies 'GSR'. Not a bad engine, b18c1, non-boosted too he said.
What I'm trying to get at is, when you see a fellow car enthusiast on the road, it's hard not to get excited when you both share such passion for a hobby. I can understand why some of the so-called 'ricers' do what they do.

i know exactly what you're saying.
the only problem with some of these ppl is this. it's ok to have a civic and upgrade it, i myself have integra LS that i installed tein ss and brembo rotors on for autox. what annoys me is when some of these kids install washer nozzle LEDs or a loud muffler or altezza lights and then brag to ppl, saying: "y0 I g0t **** d0n3 t0 mAh cAr, i'm a tUnA! Vt3cH pwn0rzzzz!"
if someone likes to add appearance items to their car, as ricey as it may be, let it be (i'll still make fun of the ricey items
), but then why does that person have to try racing against much faster car?? i mean, they KNOW that loud fart can ain't gonna help them beat an evo, at least i hope they know....otherwise they must be on shrooms! so why try then? maybe they wanna prove that they're better drivers? but what's so damn impressive about jumping lanes and cutting other ppl off in traffic, just so u can claim "victory" over the evo driver who didn't wanna risk getting into an accident during rush hour?

I kinda like all the attention I get in my evo. 
Weather it be hondas or not. I think it is kind of funny. Some are just out to have fun and mess with ya even though most of them know they have no chance at taking an evo in a race. Oh well! It doesn't bother me.

no wait a min guy i never ment this as a bash honda's post i was just sharing my personal experience with what has happend with me and was wondering if anyone has had the same experience. jo & joey said it best the majority of honda guys arnt ricers hell even most of them that have mods will just cruise by and check out my car and be like whats up. but again this is by no means a bash honda post
ya i think we all know what people you are talking about. i have run into my fair share as well. driven all crazy like they got somethin to prove. i typically just laugh it off. I guess If the mood strikes me I will blow there doors off.
