Heyman, I am a SrA also and I drive a 05 EVO8 MR which I spent a couple of grands on it already, I also have a 05 BMW bike F650GS( cost me $10083 out of the door) a Honda civic SI and a brand new house. I am not married and yes I got all that on my own credit and my single USAF income. It is very possible, however you haven't asked me how many years I have time on grade or how many years I have in the service(That is a different history).. LOL

This goes for EX-STI GUY, wow , I am surprised that you went from a STI to an EVO, I was expecting more like from a WRX to EVO. You can read my user name and figure out yourself, I wasn't happy with my WRX and its 2 tranny failures, that is why I drive a MR now.

Anyway, I am member of NASIOC since August 03, I go there everyday but I haven't had any problems with no one.
Nasioc forums helped me to sell 100% of my upgrades on my WRX, that is 100% , I was able to suceesfully sell everything withing days, great website, a lot of members too.
The most remarkable thing I ever seen at www.nasioc.com is how you can see so many STI making 400WHP, 500whp 600whp and even 700whp but as far is the best times for 1/4 mile track the EVOs absolutely sweep the STI's away. I have been observing the progress of the STI owners under the power braggin topic and they make good power however the EVO seens more like drag friendly.

what is wrong with your incomes in the USAF, when I was a one striper I was driving a Stealth R/T Twin Turbo with some mods, then I was a two striper and I got myself a 911(964)Porsche Carrera 4 Cabriolet(I sold it back in 2001), now as a SrA I have what I said in the previous post(above). You need to build your credit and be responsible on the payments, that is the key of sucess...

evos do better at the track given same hp in each car b/c the sti just gets into its worst gear (5th) in the last 200 ft or so of the quarter... i went out last weekend and got a 10.9 1000ft (right before i put it in 5th gear)

all i have done is boost controller, catback exhaust...

p.s. lucky8 (new evo owner) was riding passanger w/ me on that run 13.227 ( i woulda easily been 12's had i been able to stay in fourth.. i mean christ 10.9 1000 ft!!!

i also pulled a 1.728 60ft w/ her in car.

so yeah evos do better at the track...stis have gay, super long 5th gear..it actually lags going into it and most sti owners will tell you that

 

wish i could say i had the same experience at nasioc...i guess if all you are trying to do is sell something it could be great. i sold my utec on there. woohoo

 

we can slap a 4g63 in your Sti and you could be our sleeper!!!!!! LOL just kidding.

 

i would just love to have better drag gears! i mean, 5th fuggin gear in the 1/4
