Help!

Ok so remember I was the one that posted that the shop put 17 miles on my car for an oil change, transmission fluid and alignment. So I called the service manager to complain and he said " I am really sorry about that. the person that worked on your car was Ben and we fired him" WTF?!?!

SO Here is the crappy part, after 200 miles after the shop worked on it, last night my car was making a fluttery noise and DIED. Dead DEAD DEAD! I had to have it TOWED!

So do i have a case or no?

I'd call BULL ****E!!!!!!!!!!!, your bussiness was not with "Ben", it was with the shop. One thing you REALLY messed up on was you left their property before reporting your complaint, and waited to long to call them on it. Sad to say, you have absolutely no legal leg to stand on if it went to court. I would still get very agressive with them ASAP. As A friend of mine would say; "I'm going tactical on em"

One thing you can do is TELL EVERYONE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIANCE with them. Rep is everything to a shop, if they dont care, they are really *********, plain and simple. If they agree to compensate you that's OK, however they already proved they have no class and were willing to "test" your resolve.

If it's a dealer be aware, I was told by a local dealer it is standard pratice to refuse help on ANY complaint. They expect a certain amount of problems, they know many are their fault however by fighting all complaints they reduce the overall cost of bussiness over the long term. I've dimantled 4 evos(we build rally cars) that had only shipping and dealer mileage on them, 2 had scored main and rod brgs with less than 30 miles. This can only mean the lot lizzards were getting off on a cold engine. As of last year we only purchase our evos from a dealer in the bay area.

I'd take it to another shop and make damn sure it(new issue) is not related to the *** wipes that thrashed your car.

I assume you are a girl(your name), this makes it even worse for you. Be smart, articulate, layout your case and hope the >*** wipes< will see the light.

Best of luck,

Peter

P.S. pardon my "french", there are great shops, but the ones that scam burn me up!!!

For one thing to have a case you need some sort of proof that they put 17miles on your car during oilchange. In worst case scenario you even can use your post on here as a measure of time and date, although it wont be very argumentive.

Check if the issue of stalled car are related first.
