I don't know if I could ever let mine go. Would be a sad day.

Anyone in the Anchorage area have any parts for sale? If so, what? Starting the process of ordering all my parts and figured I could help you help me and get some money in your pockets.

Headed back down to Anchorage in the next week to pick up an S2k for a buddy of mine and could figure out something if you have what I need.

Mainly looking for:

Cams
rods
injectors(close to 1000cc atleast)
fuel rail
walbro 255
maybe upper/lower IC pipes/intake?(not sure if I want these yet but maybe if someone has the right one for me, all mine is stock, looking for aftermarket)
FMIC
Gates timing belts if any of you happen to have new ones laying around for some reason
Serpentine belt with AC delete
Small battery kit
FP green/white/Evo 9 stock turbo

Sounds good. I'm forcing myself to wait until spring to throw the motor back in and keep it stored the rest of the winter so sometime by May I can wait till. When is your deployment and for how long?

I have yet to see an evo in AK run 11.4 or better, best is Nolan at 11.6 and he blew his motor in the process and no one has come close in years.

I've been mostly waiting for the paint work to be done. I've also changed my mind on cams, turbos and etc... So I just keep ordering and I don't mind waiting since I had a customers Evo for a while.

I have an Evo 9 turbo with 16kmiles and some 9 cams, ported exhaust manifold, few others.

Any reason why go to an 8 from a 9?

Yep thats my old car. Zach has added a new intake manifold and re tune but he will def enjoy that thing. The reason a lot of ppl go for the 8s for builds is bc they are typically cheaper up front and in 05 they made more rs models which are lighter from the factory to begin with and some ppl dont like the mivec. I personally like the 9 better but its all personal preference.

Well there's quite a few reasons. Like Josh said, it's cheaper up front. I want to dump the ACD since I never switch it. For the power levels I have planned, Mivec isn't going to make that much of a difference, so I eliminate that little bit of hassle. I wouldn't go RS though. I think those should be saved for full on drag cars, because of their weight savings from factory.

Congrats on the purchase. Assuming you picked it up already. As far as the 8 and 9 comparison, only plus is price in my opinion. It'll run whatever you want depending on how deep your pockets are.

I know a couple of cars off the top of my head that'll give your old fp black car a run for your money, lol. 240 w/a 2jz, same guy that now owns my built evo, supra, built rx7, couple of gtrs, etc.

Hey mike, how bad in shape was the evo? Planning on running stock frame turbo or going all out?
