*HELP* Need New Job To Support Evo
The hospital thing sounds intriguing... You just draw blood? I think i could handle that. How do you go about getting that licence? Is there a decent demand?
Can someone go alittle more in depth about the AF, i'm mainly worried about pay because my bills are $1800/m. But that's including food and gas.

the phlebotomist job ( drawing blood ) there's a lot of training centers that offer those. it kinda varies but there are programs where they offer it for about six weekends and fee. PIMA in renton/east lake for $2k for 2 months, 4 days/week. i think they pay about $12-15/hr. not too bad and they offer a lot of flexibility with regards to hours and hospitals have the demand for it. hope it helps
If your making over $2000.00 already the AirForce won't look so good, but you have Full medical benefits, 30 days paid Vacation each year, lots of little benefits like nice gym facility and bunch of military discount from... well this local auto shop here gives 20% discount to labor and mcdonalds gives 10% , FootAction Another 20% LOL well those are the little benefits I enjoy from being in the Airforce.
I might have just the job for you. I was in the same boat a few years back and stumbled in the my favorite job I've ever had. The casino industry is amazing, especially here in the northwest. Good money, good benefits, flexible hours, and amazingly fun.
Most casinos are open very late, if not 24 hours, which makes it very easy to schedule around classes. I put myself through school working as a dealer. I've moved up in the industry but I like my job so much that I'm still doing it. Sure I might be able to make more money with finance/marketing but it's not nearly as fun for now.
Let me put it this way. I have such a good time at work almost every day. I look forward to work. Hell, there are nights I would do it for free. As long as you like to socialize and you have moderately thick skin, this job is great.
The pay scale varies drastically depending on where you work but even entry level positons at "break in" houses still pay ok. One of the biggest misconceptions is that it isn't steady, realiable income. Not true. Most dealers at most casinos split tips and are payed a base hourly wage and what is called a "toke" wage. The law of averages comes into play with the toke wage with an average varience of usually plus or minus $.75 an hour.
Working part time while you go to school, 3 or 4 days a week, you can clear the $2000 a month you wanted given you work at the right place. If you're willing to work full time like I was (school during the day, work at night) you can make good money. Not to mention the beni's are great too and you get them at some places even if you're part time.
For christ sake, I play a game for a living. I take breaks every hour for 20 mins (thats right 1 hour minimum spent on break for an 8 hour shift). I come to the party every weekend, socialize, and meet cool people.
At my current casino I started making a consistant $23 an hour with full medical, dental, profit sharing 401k, 2 weeks of vacation my first year and 13 paid holidays. An average paycheck is $1500 take home after 401k deductions every two weeks. I hate to state numbers but I figure you would like to know what's available.
This job is not for everyone. The most common complaint is that you have to work nights and ALL weekends (at least at first), you work in a smokey atmosphere, and you have to put up with some depressing customers every once in a while.
The hardest part of this industry is finding training and "breaking in". It helps if you know someone. I don't know how old you are but at certain casinos you only have to be 18.
This is the most easy money I've ever made. I feel guilty some times that I have such a good time at work. It's exciting and time FLIES by. I live with two of my buddies that I grew up with and we all got into dealing and work together. Good times. Anyway, I know I was long winded but you can probably tell I like my job. Good luck bro.
PM me for more info if you're interested in what it takes to become a dealer.
What part of seattle do you live in?

I forgot to mention the Casino industry is booming all over the country. Gambling is not going away any time soon. I don't plan on doing this forever but, if anything, it is a great fall back. With the progression of gaming laws, pretty soon you will be able to deal anywhere in the country.
