we don't want to do that one in the winter. possibility of downed trees, gravel on the road, ice, snow, etc. it's a very minor road that receives little maintenance. It's about a 4 hour trip or so

Maybe we could do St Helens and back if the roads aren't too bad? Or maybe go out to Ocean Shores in Washington and back?

Alright. We're doing Mt St. Helens. First post has been updated. That will give time for the people who want to see the playoffs time to get home and for people that don't want to do a long drive to still be able to get in on a drive. "An alternate ending for the adventurous folk would be to continue on 503 to wind river rd and down to Skamania, then back to the 'couv on 14" (straight from twardOZRally).

A map would be cool. I just want to make sure I'm back in time to catch the Kickoff between Seattle and Carolina.

Is noon too late if we want to catch the football game? Meet at noon grub on some chow, and leave around 1? Haven't been to St Helens since I was a child and can't remember how long it take to get there. From BJ's is it about an hour to get there? I mapquest it to the Mt. St. Helen Cinedome. And since this will be a round trip for those who are in OR. Will that be enough time to make it back to watch the game? Like any other meets we never leave on time. So this time if we say we leave a certain time (like at 1) can we leave at that time? Zoom, you should set a time when we are to leave BJ's and make it that we leave there sharp.

So what I'm tring to say is let's make a departure time and stick to it and not just a meeting time.

I want to watch the game too, but I don't care if I miss the first half. If you want to be at your home by the kickoff then it's probably best you just come and eat and then call it a day so you don't miss anything. If we leave BJ's at 1pm it will be cutting it really close to get back to Portland by 3:30pm (kickoff) especially if you guys say the drives usually last longer then anticipated.
