Sykart is ok if you dont know how to drive. We went there in November for my cousins birthday. There were 12 of us racing and we had called 3 weeks ahead to let them know that we were comeing.

They booked another party at the same time and everyone in our group couldent even race agints eachother.

They let the guys that work there race at the same time and they were *****ing becasue they said our group was racing too hard. They were cussing and screeming at my friends.

For as much as we paid to race there was not worth it. They treated us like ****.

And they dident have enough carts to top it all off. they only had 5 running.


As for getting together that would be awsome.

Just an Idea also. There is Blue Lake Park in Gresham that has huge coverd areas to eat under and BBQ pits all over. Plus lots of parking

 

As far as everyone in portland getting together. we should do like a weekly thing every friday or saturday night at the 24 hr starbucks of 217 at like 8pm and whoever can make it makes it and whoever doesn't doesn't and maybe they can show up the next weekend. It can be the same time every weekend each month so everyone knows the time so they can show up whenever they can make it.

As far as the east side goes we could meet at krispy kreme off 82nd.

yup thats why i said 8. then if there's enough of us there is a pool hall somewhat nearby and the sykart place is kind of close or we could hop over to hooters

 

We had it last year at Beaverton Sbux at 6pm. When it gets dark late, it'll be nice again

Last summer this is what a handful us did. We would meet at the 24hr Starbucks and chill for awhile then either go to the track or do a little bar hopping. Pretty much whatever sounded good at the time.

When it gets to be summer I'll be at PIR friday and saturday nights but until then I'm up for whatever. just bored to death. it'd be fun to do someonething every week so i have something to look forward too and to not kill myself from the depressing weather around here......joke....

 

If I manage to get my coilovers in by then I may come to that.

 

Dude im down with Zoom's idea. That would be badass if we could all meet up and chill every weekend. I used to do that around here (vancouver) with a bunch of my old friends. but over the last few years they have either moved away or just gotten out of the car scene. Its really sad.

So my vote is hell yeah let meet and eat. Just name the time and place and im there.

Dont forget about all the track days coming up at PIR too. There's more to do there than just drag racing. We should try to get a group together for those.

 

Thats cool as well, cause if we could arrange a weekly meet day and time. say something like Saturday nights around 8pm. then we could chill for a few and then cruise over to PIR and chill at the race for the night. we could turn this into a really cool weekly event if people are willing to show up every week.

We just need a place to meet up. Like a sharis restaraunt type of place. something that isnt ever too busy, and will allow a good size group of people to hang out for an hour or so in the parking lot. Sharis off of Mill Plain is where we all use to meet and they never cared. as long as every now and then someone woudl go in and grub some food. We would have about 20 people or so every friday night.

However, one major requirement... NO STUPID **** out in the parking lot. they dont mind people, but you get even 1 idiot trying to do a burnout and its all over for everyone else.

But anyway someone figure this all out, i dont know many portland places so someone local hurry up and organize this. IM BORED.
