Moving PIR?

Sorry if this is a repost. I cant believe that people would even think about moving PIR. I do think it is in a bad location for trafic. But because of the noise? They should of thought about that before moving by a race track. Here is the link.

I thought PIR was located pretty much in an industrial area...

PIR should stay where it is now, they will move it and it will **** off other people. Why spend billions for something tahts just fine. I think its in a great location, easy to get to.

I hope they plan on having the new track up and running before they shut down the old one. I hate to have to get involved with organized street racing. We got to get our fix from somewere

The only people that live in that area are in a trailer park, that would be easier to move then the track. PIR should buy that property and turn it in to some sort of off road track. Problem solved.

PIR is either State, County or City park property.
We are in the twilight zone here, the only "dense" thing around PIR is the quanty of geese.
Guess Portland has as wacko a mayor as the rest of the NW.

$$$ Talks and bullsh!t walks. there is no way the entire city is going to buget a track move for a few people who dont want to hear the noise. This is a city or state owned park and thus means we the tax payers flip the bill. unless they plan to make this urban sprawl and a developer picks it up. my 02

+1, F@#$ these damn retards, track was ok 50 years ago when sound was a lot louder, but now when things are getting more advanced and quiet they start complaining. God damn liberals..... (sorry if i offend anyone on here, don't mean to, if you liberal or conservative and you own a evo, you're kool in my book )

^^^lol.

The track is fine where it is at...

The people that are complaining are the same people that complain about the noise coming from the airport.

The people chose to live in between a track and an airport so deal with it...

I hate when this happens and even if they move it, in a few years same complants will come.
The cost of moving it will be "astounding" , meaning that it is not what they think, probably several times over. And if they do, the track could be smaller, more dangerous etc.

I hope that someone propose to the goverment to buy the residential areas close to PIR and relocate them, that would be eye opening to the people that are complaining. And I do not really want to do this, but just make the proposal and take a video of their faces

We have a lot of open space out on the west side, I think they should move it out here... ;-)

If they do decide to move it, I they separate the dragstrip from the road course.
