Again man I'm sorry for you too...It was BAD guys i've never seen anything like it and I have been involved in some $h1t, it was crazy and the most f*** up part is they really didnt even steal anything, probably just a bunch of punks that went joyriding and then decided to torch it for the hell of it...Made me real upset, i got some pics too, but like John said its not even an evo anymore...

Thanks for all the sympathetic comments. I guess there is a 9.5 SE comin out???

If my insurance doesn't drop me after, I will be lookin to purchase another one.
I don't see how your insurance could possibly drop you since this isn't your fault at all. Good luck man.

no offense zhemel, but that is REALLY messed up. A couple buddies have both stated, that don't even know each other, that Evo's are the #1 stolen vehicle reported to insurance. They are right up there with Escalades. They were both told that by their insurance companies.

Even though its been a huge frustration dealing with the warranty stuff, I LOVED my Evo. In 3 months, I had 9.5k in miles, cause I drove that thing ALL the time. I rented both a garage, AND a carport at my apartment. And hopefully, when all the dust settles, I'll have my loans paid off in full (I don't see why, I have full coverage and gap insurance with Wells Fargo) and be riding around in another one. My birthday is in July, so I'm shooting for that.

and also zhemel, the car is 3 months old, and I was a little negative to begin with, so what insurance money would I get??? I'd be in the hole if I didn't have gap insurance.

It is theft claims per 1000 vehicles which the evo is #2, that does not mean stolen rides. stereo stolen, wing, seats rims etc, not the whole vehicle.

Sorry man, but how many people steal a evo and burn it with the engine and seats still in tacked?

Well when I wrote it, I literally had just found it missing like an hour before. So I didn't write out everything. Friday my lower intercooler pipe was starting to leak at the coupler again, I could hear it.

My guess would be that they weren't going to toast it at all, but at least took it joyriding down east on 14. When they hit the hills and twisty part (which is where it was found) the lower intercooler pipe came loose, and the car became immobile. So, what would you do if you had just stolen an Evo, and it broke down on the side of the road with all your fingerprints on it?

Nope. A car fire attracts more attention. Good luck anyway. A new IX could make alot of money for a theif. Spend your money wisley.
