good and bad day at the track.

the bad:
im still fighting some drive train stuff. and now when id shift the rpms keep climbing till the rev limiter. it like when i let off the gas its stuck or something. if i try to shift to fast i grind. so i was only albe to muster up a few 12.2's and 12.3's.

The good:
today in the 90 degree heat i wal able to break my fasted mph to date. nothing huge but i did it 3 time. weird thing is all were done at the end of day and it kept getting faster and hotter. anyway. the third was 120.95 second 121.35 and the last one was 122.54. im still getting lame 60' and 1/8 mile times but the top end is fun on this car. the turbo is a 35r at 27.7 psi (according to the ebc) mix of 110&116 oct.

Sounds like maybe your BPV or the wastegate is getting stuck and not dropping the RPM's.

Sounds like your trying so hard to shift that you are pressing in on the clutch before you are off of the gas.....

i wish it were that simple. during my clutch install my mechanic told me that the( clutch or throddle ) cable had a kink in it. Im like, what ?. is their even a calbe that goes into the transmission? said this was causing the throddle to stick at 1/2 open till it got past the kink. anyone know what calbe he talking about?

Never heard of teh cable thing yet, but i know mine will hold the rpms around 5-7k sometimes after a 1-3rd or 1-4th pull. I heard it was an ecu related thing that is supposed to happen.

A kink in your throttle cable could easily cause the problem you are describing. Wouldn't hurt to change that out and see if it helps.

He probably ment the throttle cable, The only cables on the trans are the shifter cables.

ya, my bad. he said he inspected the shifter calbles and yes the only throttle cable that is on the car is the one that had a kink. my guy is great. i went over to his shop and he bled the clutch and installed the cable for free the clutch is fine he said and the transmission more than likely suffered damage from the racing it with a warped ACT in it. well there goes 3k. on the TRE transmission. im thinking i may give shepard racing a try at the rebuild. ****, im running outta money with these drivetrain repairs. coming up on 7k in 3 months. my girl is pissed at me

what about the clutch line? not really a cable but if it was kinked/pinched the clutch might be a little slow disengaging
