Why don't you keep doing that? I take it you worked in a car toys / best buy type place?
That's a little different then this type or sales.

True that the product is VERY different, but if you can make someone smile, feel comfortable, and show them why they need your product you can sell anyone almost anything.
The reason I dont want to do this anymore is I dont want to live in Florida anymore. I like it down here, but I like it up there so much more. I'll be moving to Seattle in the near future so I'm already "job hunting".
Yeah, i saw that you were moving up here.
See it's a completely different type of sales environment. We don't have global marketing, and we don't have people comming into the shop for our services. It's sitting in a cube staring at a computer and talking on the phone trying to talk executives into "our idea" of simplified access to their data sources. It's a lot of prospecting...
But hey, give it a shot. Check out Noetix.com, and submit your resume; ya never know. Let me know if you do and i'll pull it out of HR's hands for ya.

Not enough.
Really though, it depends how good you are, if you pull strong commissions, it could be a perfect career to support a family, etc.

Do you live in Seattle or just work there?
The first day I was there I was coming over the Denny way Overpass(by the play it again sports) and I saw the Greg Japanese Auto and I got all excited then I figured out is was a repair shop, not a performance type place.
I didnt really see any shops, maybe they were hiding...? However a few things I did see include:
130+ starbucks
a whole lot of subway's
a lot of subby's
2 evos
Some really hott asian girls
Some really hott girls in general
and a dude on the corner wearing a dress, make-up, and big black boots(that was scary)
