OK New Tire Plan

Well heres the NEW news with my tire situation. I may turn in the T1R's and go this route. Let me know what you think? FYI: The deal is being worked out for right now.

235/40ZR18 Toyo Proxes 4 (for daily driving)
255/40ZR17 Toyo RA1 (for the track)
17x9+35 offset Enkei Type RPF1 Silver (to go with the RA1's)

my car is lowered too much to put really wide tires on. I am trying not to roll the fenders. I think this is a smarter way to go, considering my options are limited on finding a good all around daily driver/track tire. The offset on my WORK wheels is limiting the width I can run (+30).

Good plan, you'll love the RA1s IF YOU CAN FIND THEM!. I got a nail in my sidewall about a week ago and I've had a horrible time getting a replacement.
you might have to shave the rear fenders *very* slightly. My setup with a 38mm offset is pretty close to rubbing, but just barely tucks.
If you want a rear shock with no spring to bolt up and check clearance at full bump let me know, I have a couple sets of stock suspension sitting out in the shop.

i would go with the Advan A048's for the TRACK. tire rack has that size 255/40wr/17 for $241 each & they can be heat cycled or shaved for extra.

for daily use, u can stick with Toyo as long as u get the Proxes R888's. since ur in the NW region, this tire will work perfect especially bcuz it works in the rain. it is the staple tire in the UK.

don't make the mistake alot of EVO (& other car guys) make by slapping on tires that perform WORSE than the stock tire. i currently run the Advan A032R's (discontinued & replaced by A048) on the '03. i may go with the Nitto Nt-01's or the Avon ZZR's for the '05. i haven't decided yet...

I run BFG KDW's and seem to be a good tire. If you plan on using summer tires and switching them out in the rainy months go with the KD's.
