Tein S Tech springs. Do you know what the S stands for? Stylish. Yes, they slam the car. The springs sag after some miles. People blow shocks on them. Haven't we gone over this? $100 springs on an evo?

Ryan, you know once you say something towards towelie, he gets the edge. Let him talk, or do his thing. I've never once been either uncomfortable, or felt your car jar/bottom out/ or act squirrelly due to your tires/rims/ or suspension...

as for investing more into the engine - Your car is pretty fast as it is - Not everyone wants 450 WHP - For some, stock is fine.

I think that your rims look great either way - Green or Bronze - the Green will definately attract both fans and haters... Its unique, and its definately going to make your car stand out. I like it if its the same color that its going to end up being as in that photo shop...

I was thinking about doing some gold powerder coating on the rims I have now, and leaving the lip silver... I want to have an extra set of rims though - powder coating can be spendy ...

Just like any new product that hits the street, there are going to be pros and cons regardless. The fact that you posted your ideas on the forum and taking the chance that people are (were) going to rip your idea apart, speaks volumes in my book. Who in their right mind can say that they were the first to drop some Takata green on an EVO without being plastered by numerous sponsors and whatnot? You could if you stick with it. To me bro, express yourself how you see fit. Heck, you might just start a new trend. That's what we need, more people that are creative and innovative enough to come up with what seems like crazy ideas. I like it bro. I think it looks pretty dang good and you're definitely going to get the "triple take" when you're driving around town. Just don't have any female issues because how could you explain that it wasn't your car parked at the local hotel/motel when you're the only one sporting Takata green on an EVO IX?

Just because they have worse spring rates than stock, don't handle as well as stock, and don't last as long as stock doesn't mean they're worse.

I mean they do look good.

Frankly, I think painting sexy ****ing bronze works wheels is retarded, but if that's what you want go for it.

I also don't see that some "adapted" canards as being incredibly functional compared to a time attack car. They may look pretty good though. [shrug]

seriously, it's your car, do what you want. Just realize that there are a lot of guys in the northwest who are quite willing to call rice what it is. [shrug]
