Just got done painting my stock evo 8 wheels. I'm going to put them on my BBY evo 8. Wanted to get some feedback and see what you guys thought.

I think that the rims look sick. I'd like to see pics of them on the car though.

I'll be putting them on my car next weekend and will post some pics then. I'm anxious to put them on, but do not want to rush. I want to make sure the paint has had plenty of time to fully cure. It was a pain to tape them off to spray the blue, and I don't want to take any chances!!

I really appreciate the feedback so far. I wanted to do something a little different than painting them a solid color.

It took 1 hr per rim to sand them, 1 hr per to prime them ( 3 coats ), 1 hr per to black them, 1 hr per to mask them, and 45 min per to blue them in. I'm convinced the difference in blues is because I shot the pic of the wheels up close with the flash on, and the one of the car is on a dull day with no flash. I did the first wheel and put it next to my car to make sure the blues were close, and I think it looks sick !! Plus you'll never notice when I'm going past you!! LOL!!

The overspray on the tires should wipe off with soap and water. At least mine did, but I had some tire shine left on the tires when I did mine.

BLue is definetly not subtle, however...it may work... my red worked...it's been done b4...the blue is a bold statement...just like mohawks were...now ..everyone rocks them...
