No License Plate Law?

A while back, there was a thread or a post saying there was going to be an initiative on the November ballot, regarding no front plates in WA. Was it even on the ballots yesterday? My Pierce Co ballot didn't have anything of the like.

I heard it was supposed to be on there too, something about the raised letters/bolts not being accounted for at the 5MPH crash safety. I was sooooo hoping.... I've been to court over front plates on my 89 GTi 16V probably 6 times. I finally got an exemption due to due process not being met over having a german license plate on front.... was soooo hoping all WA plates to go away...

It was shot down in the early stages from what I understand.... I actually tried contacting some local representatives so we could get something like this going in Oregon but none of them went for it.

It was initiative 908. Initiatives have a petition process before they actually go on the ballot, it just didn't get enough signatures. It will probably come around again at the next general election if it gets enough votes. Here is a link to the initiative.

I guess it didn't get the 224,880 signatures. Not that many Corvettes in this state?

Wish I knew where to sign that damn thing! My Evo doesn't have the front plate bracket installed and I never want it to. Hopefully it'll make it on the next ballot.

Luckily that's not a problem for us Evo owners but drilling holes into the bumper is painful for any car.
