Too bad.....tonight was just me and hksevoix. Real slow evening. I was kinda late thou, that's kinda my trade mark. I dunno if everyone knows it's kinda an unwritten event every friday. Some of us local evos get together @ 700pm at the Tacoma Mall Krispy kream. But I think 7 o'clock it kinda too early cause of the day light savings time, maybe 8? It would be nice to see more guys and girls from other cities to come to this. To me there isn't really a strong evo group anymore.

Well its a scheduled event for NorthWest Evolution members in Pierce County.. the whole goal is to strengthin our bond and actually become friends instead of just aquaintances.

Great to see that you weren't the lone evo, I'm pretty much a dedictated meeter, but tonight could have turned out a little better IMO, although I know when I attend a meet, I know that this isn't considered a priority, but rather than a bonding function, so I respect all who show, but have no shame in those who don't attend because I know that life and responsibilities should always be put first. I'm not sure what could be done to keep interest in the meets, any suggestions? To me, its not the car that makes me attends these meets, but the fact of those who share common interests of a developing generation of automotive performance. Always willing to meet new people!

btw great meeting you kevindanger
wow what a night, said that all and not even close to being sober, lol

I went last week. Talked to one guy and his girlfriend who actually came up to us first. After she figured out I was no one special, she went off and chatted with other people. Things seemed kind of clicky to me. Everyone wanted to group off and look at the big dollar cars. You will have to excuse me if that sounded harsh, I come from a European car background where things are a little different. No better or worse. It seems we all have a commom passion for automobiles. Some of us don't have a lot of money to spend on making our cars stand out from the crowd. But I pride myself on driving an evo, and I opted to buy the rs. I am a no frills type of enthusiast. But I do feel like we are an elite bunch and it should be more tight knit. Just my two pennies, all to be taken kindly. No hard feelings at all.

I try to meet everyone who goes, if someone doesn't seem intrested in talkin to me I move on. RS, GSR, MR don't matter, each car has its downsides and "top dollar" cars don't matter to me.. If Ralph shows up, I don't hump his car cause of his full works internals. We're here to support each other, some of us lost our evos but are still part of the club so I personally don't care about what you have vs who you are mang.

Not for argument sake. But,like I stated before, no harm was meant by my observations. Although it seems rather intimidating to just "move on" if someone doesn't want to talk to you. It comes off as arrogants to most. Some people aren't that forward in just walking up and introducing themselves to an already large group of people. I am not singling anyone out. I ran a rather large Volkswagen club for quite some time and I was just offering some constructive criticism. To build a local community that will stand the test of time, it's gonna take more than just getting people to show up. Again and again, no hard feelings and I do plan on showing up to more meets. Yesterday was a busy day and the weather didn't make it any better.
