Dorkfreaks out of business!!!!!
Well, we have a few alternatives for dynoing AWD. We will probobly use Ground Zeros AWD Mustang dyno. I know Ralph pretty well and he has invited us to use it. I also know PRE has an AWD dyno too they say we can lease. If anyone needs there reflash work done in the NW, We can do it and so can English Racing.
i might be making a trip down there soon as i need to tune my car, as well as get my car running right
i'll be sure to bring a box of krispy kreme too!!
People that do bad bussiness should look for something else to do.

Well folks this will be my only post on the subject on any forum regarding this topic.
Yes Friday 5/10/2007 was the last official day of being open to the public for TF. I didn't close the shop down due to lack of business or anything of that nature. I'm sure Tim can attest that there is demand out there for this line of work. Bottom line it came down to profitibility.
High performance work = lots of unbillable hours. Also the preconcieved notion that this work is just like OEM work. Also to accuratly quote a large job down to the nitty gritty is down right impossible.
Then having employees on a salary there is absolutely no incentive to get work done quickly.
Add a dash of having to wait 2 weeks for 1 part to show up just to get a job done and collect is just insane.
Frankly at what point do you say I'm done? I quit an 80K job to come down here to do what I dreamed of doing...all starry eyed about this industry, to make chicken scratch.
I did it because I loved it, but when I found that I spent all of my time dealing with the unpleasant parts of running a business and none of the "fun" stuff. It just didn't add up anymore. For the amount of money I (and my family) had invested in TF, I could have been retired right now :P. But I came out of this experience with more than a college degree could ever have taught me.
I've just decided that it was time to make a change in my life. I have dedicated the last almost 2 years of my life to this company at the expense of both personal and financial goals.
Really, I just want to lower my stress level, have a dedicated income stream, and hopefully get married and start a family.
Al of these were not going ot happen when I owned TF. And all of these factors contributed to me deciding to close it.
I'm sure I could spend the next 5 hours talking about the factors, and in my true fashion I am pretty open about all of this.
Bottom line for me, its a total new chapter in my life. I am not selling my Supra. I still love this ****, but its time to get back to the fun part of it.
well...I'm pretty sure I'm not the first speed shop to close up and I won't be the last. I've met a lot of great people, made some good decisions, made some poor decisions, but all one can do is move on and continue to do what they feel is best for themselves.
