My buddy used to be a bmw tech. We had a chance to take a really good look inside and out. I was a little unimpressed. Most of the suspension components were cheap stamped steel. Yuck! Come on! Look under your evo, strong, light aluminum. Plus, have you bought parts or had a BMW serviced lately. Have fun with that one. Not sh*t talking, just informing a little.
Its a pretty classy car compared to the evo, so it comes down to preference.

^^ yeah but at some point in time you want comfort and style which as great as this car is just doesn't deliver both.

I'll get the xi as my daily driver in 2 years or so. Let all these other guys work the bugs out for me .

Yeah, I think I'm done with the boy racer cars as a daily. I've seen good results with a few upgrades making 400whp. The most suspension wise I'd likely do is throw on some KW variant 2 or 3's.

That was the exact term I was thinking but didn't feel like saying it. Think its old age setting in for me (or mid 20s crisis) .

It would be a daily, and comes with the BMW service for four years. The longest I've kept a car is two years, mainly due to being deployed.

I'm trying to work a deal right now for a track only car anyway.

^^ there is a sister shot in this same compilation that shows the vortex generator on the Evo. This is the shot I like to show people when they have the VG on and are either wingless or have another wing that doesn't share the stock height. If you are either the VG can do nothing because the air either ends up under/above the new wing, or completely above the wingless back end.

Went on a Hood River Run today with a few Honda, DSM, EVO, Audi people. Besides stopping a few times for them to fix a DSM it was a great drive. Lots of nice scenery to see.

Found out Oregon has a white w/ blue stripped GT500 undercover cop.
