TWR August Drive - 26 August
Gallons and Getaways
We're paying tribute to the Prohibition Era Rum Runners who invented the Hot Rod. So get out your Zoot Suits (gentlemen) and flappers (ladies), we're returning to the Roaring Twenties for a trip through Wine Country.
Just like with the Sports Car Formal in December, I'm serious about enjoying this event in style. Costumes are optional, of course, but it's fun to be a bit silly on occasion.

What kind of drive is this? is it a slow paced or fast paced drive.
what I mean to say is: are we going to have fun on the twisty bits, or are we just going, to take pics and sip wine? Because I want to DRIVE my car damn it. hehe

I am very interested. (my wife as well) A few questions:
Are we going to be stopping at 11 wineries? or any wineries, for that matter?(I saw 11 "pause signs" on the route)
I am to understand that it starts in Mt Vernon and ends in Woodinville?
What is the address for the starting point?
How many cars are expected?
Would it be cool if some of my friends drove with us? (Not Evos) It is pretty short notice for my friends, but Maybe.
I see you are From redmond. I wouldn't mind tailing you to the start point. I'm in bellevue. Sorry for throwing all this at you all at once.

I can answer a few of those but for most of your questions I would go to the-winding-road.com. Kris I know drives an RX-8 and the drives that I've been on I've been the solo Evo, I'm pretty sure that he won't mind if anyone shows up, the more the merrier. As for stops I haven't a clue. I"m still deciding on this one depends if some of my friends can go or not we'll see!!

I have a situation I need to deal with, so I'm postponing the drive to next Sunday, September 2nd. I apologize for any scheduling trouble this causes, but I don't really have much choice in the matter.
Just a quick reminder. The Gallons and Getaways drive IS happening tomorrow (or today, as you're probably reading this Sunday Morning). After last weeks troubles, I thought it best to send a confirmation.
