Yeah i dont want to go to some shmowburger to do the install. Thacher at speedware gave me a number of a guy that does good work. But i want to see if anyone has had problems with it or anything like that before i start getting ready.
Here is the Speed Element Evo with the Voltex Kit. Sorry Ralph, your pic is so small and undetailed, lol.
Ant, if you have the chedder for this go for it!!!!
I would pick this over the APR one personally.

. I'd take this one over the APR too. Also I think Do-Luck makes a WB now, but I have no pics of that.

A fibergalss/CF panel done well should be lighter than the stock metal one. A good set of forged wheels may be wider but, can weigh less than stockers. Add to it some CF doors and maybe a roof and there you have it.........that would be a track approach. It sounds like to what is being discussed here is for pure aesthetic reasons.....which is cool too, if that is the intent.
The voltex is a little out there compared to the apr kit. But it's all about what you like.
Don't take this as hating, but I'm not sure how much money this project will cost you. Unless you plan on just showing this thing and letting it sit, I would really think this through. Mating faberglass or carbon fiber to a metal body will not last forever. There is no real way to secure the two together and after time the body filler and whatnot will crack out and look like sh*t. I have a friend who's dad has owned body shops since the 70's and you can come talk to him, he will tell you the same.
Plus the money aspect. The kit is gonna set you back at least $3500, labor to install and paint is probably gonna be another 3 or 4 grand, and I dont remember seeing a cheap 9.5" or 10" wheel that will fill those wheel wells. Lets just say another 2 grand there. So at the low side you are looking at spending 9 grand.
You and I talked at HIN a bunch about the wide body and you seemed really amped about doing it. Please don't take this as hating, just looking at it realistically. You already have good paint and a few go quick mods. A fraction of that widebody, and you could have one fast as hell evo. Just my 2 pennies....
