Well here is my input on this because I was stuck on this alarm for awhile. For one every authorized Pro dealer for Compustar I have talked (which are few and far between) to said that alarm has had some problems so they called them back in and they haven't releases them since. The 9000FMR is out but then again it has no spread spectrum and only 3000ft (which in reality after buying an alarm is enough). I got disgusted on waited for it to come out and trying to be sold the 4yr old 900FMR so I opted for the Clifford 50.5X which has the mile range and some other gadgets. Some of the Compustar features are nice so I would have liked the P2WSSR but I got tired of waiting. One good thing is Compustar does have a patented remote start system whereas DEI alarms I dont think do yet (suppose to in the next few weeks but I have heard that more than once)

Well the RSX3.5 is a step under the 50.5X (it has spread spectrum and 1mile range) Compustar who is Firstec is located in Kent. I have talked to them and they do not do installs but I believe you can buy directly from them. Last I checked though the P2WSSR was still on hold...that was last month so I got tired of waiting. Maybe it is back out but I am not sure...I would definately want some feedback though from other people that have had the alarm and nobody as of yet has it. I would have really liked that alarm I just dont have patience waiting for companies saying oh just a little longer. I dont think you can go wrong with any of Compustars products by if you are going to spend close to 1g which it will be if you get most the accesories like glass breakage, proximity, tilt sensors, etc (which are manufactured by DEI) I would go for the P2WSSR because being in cement buildings or certain mall's regular alarms do not have the strength to reach through the walls. Just something to think about.

DEI has had a patten for over 15 years for there product and have always been cutting edge on new product release. They are also the biggest suppliers in North America only falling behind Audiovox worldwide.

I would never put Compupoop in my car. DEI all the way. Out of the thousands and thousands of alarm, remote start and combo's I have installed, I have had only 2 go bad and one of them was my fault.

I still have a Viper 300, not even the plus, in a box i would put large amounts of money on still works. This was the very first alarm I ever bought and installed.

I have also removed countless compu whatevers that never worked right, even with proper installation.

dbsears's alarm is soo ballin that it protects mine and his car at the same time, so I don't need an alarm sorry. But pm me a price anyways.
