Next step suggestions?

So, i've got a IX with a cat back borla, injen intake, greddy blowoff, and a lucas english mbc and tune.

Am wondering what the best bang for the buck is for the next jump in HP?

Lucas suggested a fuel pump, so there's that, but i'd probably want to do something else too if I'm going to do the fuel pump and have the retune.

I think I'm at about 300whp currently.

Any suggestions if I wanted to spend about $500-700? Ideally, you could include an idea of what kind of hp I'd get.

Thanks!

Even though the evo IX's fuel pump flow more than the 8's you should've replaced that before getting the MBC installed

Getting one installed now won't improve horsepower but it will give you a little better fuel insurance.

As far as the next mods............I would say intercooler, the size should be determined by how extensive you plan to mod (ie. Turbo upgrade?)

Intercooler pipes

or alky.........which should require another tune of some sort.

Best bang for the horsepower buck is gonna be alky but it all comes down to personal preference.

Yes, the pump should have been the first with those mods, so you can save on the tuning
I got my S1 cams installed by Lucas, and he'll give you a great rate. Ask him, He'll know
If you really want a jump on power, either cams or meth, but I didn't want meth on my car as of yet. Therefore, I opted for cams.
I also suggest intercooler piping. I have Nisei lower IC pipe and working on getting ETS stock battery upper piping soon. Though you might not gain significant power, they will respond very well to the mods once you build up.
My friend has the basic bolt ons and IC piping and he made 330whp on the now-HPF-dynojet at 21.5 psi.

My car with jestr tune ran 350whp/340tq on the same dyno with s1 cams and basic bolt ons running 24psi.(Lucas has detuned the car for me as I attended CSCC)

oh, you should get downpipe and either hi flow or cat delete, it'll really free up your exhaust.(If you only have the cat back)
good luck, good to see local portlander modding

High Flow Cat/test pipe as well...no sense upgrading the parts before the cat and not doing the cat itself . The boost gauge, o2 housing, downpipe and high flow cat/test pipe should put you right about the high end of your target range (depending on manufacturers choosen).

I feel he needs a fuel pump when tuning the car need to be quite richer then most in the the fuel map to make the same AFRS. If I have done a base tune on a car and I do the cam install or what ever mods I only charge $30 to check and mod the tune.

I would say fuel pump, DP with test pipe, O2 housing and at a least lower pipe.

272 cam shafts are a good bet! I just had some put in myself. Need a tune now though.
