Beat the scion meet...
Well I think I mise well back out and let someone else have the spot. For one I have bronchitis which is not helping me and I dont want to drive in bad weather nor risk hitting snow for a detour (I have RE01R's, definately not snow friendly.)
my car will not be ready by Friday, but I'm always down to hitch a ride if the road is good to go -
Talked with my brother down in Oregon - he says that the Interstate is a mess still and his company is getting contracted for electrical work along the flooded section of I-5.
he says that even if they worked 24 hours, it may not get completed until late Saturday depending on how long it takes for the water level to lower, how long it will take to remove the sediment, re-level the ground, re-pave, install the side rails, and re-do electrical stuff. not to mention re-patch and such, but patch work doesnt take too long...
Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Alternate route: This is what I came up with. I was going to link it but mapquest's link setting is down right now. So to get the directions go to mapquest and put in Lakewood WA, Olympia WA, Aberdeen WA, Longview WA, Beaverton OR. And that is what I have sorry for not having a link. PM me with another info you guys come up with or your input weather your going to make it or not. Lets not let a little rain and flooding stop our good cause.
Ah man I hope you guys can get down here, you may get furthest traveled award!! hopefully i got that locked down since I'm on leave from Iraq, lol no seriously I dont function well without people I know so if you don't show up you are an enabler! j/k I am praying the roads clear up for you guys I would hate to be the only one repin' NWE they may get the wrong impression since I don't have the best Evo or manners.
i was banking on coming down but the rear d guys for my unit got tasked with helping the people in centralia and chehalis area. we figured we'll take our toys down thier and give them to those people since some of them lost everything.
Lewis County - News Update - I-5 Closure Map
I-5 in Chehalis Closed Due to Flooding
I-5 is closed from exit 88 near Grand Mound (approximately 20 miles south of Olympia) to exit 68 (11 miles south of Chehalis) due to flooding. The freeway will remain closed until at least late Thursday and likely longer while crews wait for the Chehalis River (at milepost 77-79) and Dillenbaugh Creek (at milepost 74) to recede.
http://beta.mapquest.com/maps/10%40Q7cZMB%3D4
this bypass comes out at exit 68 and they will let us go south from here.... so no need for a long round trip just cut through here and it wont be too much longer and not any snow
anyways we are awd, tires or no tires......... these are cars are breed for rally and its for the kids MANNNNN

The only problem with this route is that the 7 is for local traffic only, but that is the input I am looking for keep it up and we will make it there. Other then that I posted another route also last night. Thank you all for the help to support the kids. Also to those who are donating to the flooded areas good on you they do need the help also.

IF YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT MAKING THE SHOW ON SATURDAY, PLEASE EMAIL OR PM ME SO I CAN TAKE YOU OFF THE LIST!
I have a waiting list of people who are trying to get pre-registered, but the only way I can add them on is if someone else takes themselves off!
Thanks!

I'm going to make it still. The route that IGOFAST posted is the route that washdot has on their website for a detour for the smaller cars and such.
So for everyone meeting a Tacoma and leaving from there what time are we going to meet up now because this new route adds about 1 hour and 40-50 miles. So depending on traffic and if people need to get gas or what for the extra miles we should leave even earlier.
Let me know your thoughts on this for the guys going still.

And for the guys who are planning on going still remember to get a toy that's at least $10 before we head down there. You can pay $10 to get in at the show but a toy is so much better and that's what this whole thing is about.
Update I just got done watching the news and they are saying that there might be one lane north and one lane south open by tonight. If not then SR 7 is open to regular traffic so that is the shortest option that is posted on here also. http://beta.mapquest.com/maps/10%40Q7cZMB%3D4 so if I-5 does not open this is the way we are going.

Edit: I should read before I post, I just saw the answer to my question. Thanks.
