Thanks, the Robispec'd Evo is my beast. I was really surprised I took Best Mitsubishi, the other white one (the VIII with the HKS Turbo) was pretty nice.

I was expecting to see more Evos. And yeah, a Mazda 3 winning best Mazda over that RX-7 was a joke.

That was the best looking/biggest dealership I've seen. There was a hot *** Puerto Rican chic with a Scion there. Most of the cars sucked IMO, but it was free.

Congrats on Best Mitsu! On a side note, I have been trying to remember the origin on the double stripe on the front fender. Where does that come from?

Just something I picked up when I started racing a few years ago. It's really a Corvette/US racing thing (original AC Cobra racing cars used them frequently too). The most common (and well known) application is the C4 Corvette GS which had red stripes on the driver's fender only. Supposedly I've heard it was a way of identifying veteran racers on the circuit or something like that. I just thought it looked cool so I started doing it on all my cars. I like how it really brings out the blister fenders on the cars and just is a unique color element without going too hard-core. The color also draws out my brakes too since they are similar colors It's really my "racing livery".

Beyond that it's just become a way to really identify my car. Most people on the forums now who've seen my previous cars are pretty quick to identify my cars now

Actually, the stripes signify the death of a generation. The Corvettes started with them and it's spread to other makes as well.

not the greatest pics, but pics nonetheless from the scionlife.com forum.

here's the rx7 that was passed over. after the judging, looks like they gave the runner up, the mazda3, the best in mazda trophy. everyone kept saying that it was rigged because the host was with team menace (they did win like 6 of the 10 trophies) so they let the mazda3 win it. the owner of the rx7 wasn't displeased as he was happy to find out that the guy with the mazda3 drove a while to get his car into the show, and that he went home with a big trophy.

besides the stock GG IX, here's the other evo that was there.

to reiterate, these pics were taken from the scionlife.com forum, with the exception of the attatchment in my previous post, which was from my camera.

Aaaahhhh makes more sense about the Mazda 3 deal. Nice you were looking out for 'em. If you would believe it, my car was filthy as all get out not 2 hours before I put it into the show. I had to drive it over Snoqualmie

Here's some better shots my buddy Armin (who won best Subaru) took.

Unfortunately he was sick so he didn't take too many other shots. Here's the rest:
