LOL right next to a State Patrol office.. still drifting in a empty parking lot seems kinda harmless; hope they get off easy even if it was a dumb thing to do. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you should have to go to jail for doing a burnout.

I thought you could only get reckless driving tickets for offenses committed on public roads, not on private property. The simple fact that the officer "busted" them while they were doing this in an empty parking lot that was specifically chosen because of the lack of obstructions or hazards it pretty stupid.

Every driver's ed class I've ever taken has always suggested that when it snows or when it's wet, you take your car to an empty parking lot and practice slide control. Now, granted these two were making a video because drifting is mad-JDM-yo and they were doing it in essentially a stolen vehicle, but still. I wonder if a cop would react the same way if it was someone simply practicing car control techniques without a video camera nowadays because of the "drifting scene." I really hate pop culture.
